Finally meeting back up    Comments

Hello Hutch High Friends, After eighteen years apart, Carol McAmis and I just spent three wonderful days together sitting by beautiful waterfalls in Ithaca, NY, and reminiscing about the good ole days with friends like you. Thought we'd share a couple of photos. Hope to see you at our 45th reunion in a couple of years! Laurie Nuzum Graham

Time to travel    Comments

I just got back from Peru. Machu Picchu was incredible, I think I'm hooked on travel now. Next Africa, China, the Netherlands??? Micky's family was so great! Here are some pictures taken by Mac, Micky's husband. One on Machu Picchu and the other in Cusco I believe. Their daughter Peigi is one incredible young lady, she speaks fluent Spanish which came in quite handy when we ordered in restaurants or when we were trying to get the price down on souvenirs! Well, no more adventures for a while so I guess I'll go back to work!

Class of '68 - Mini Sky Ryder Girl Reunion    Comments

We all just returned from Albuquerque, NM where 11 of the class of '68 Sky Ryder girls had a mini reunion. Someone said we were 61, going on 16!  We had an amazing time!   We were able to attend the Inidia  Pow Wow where tribes from all over the world gather to celebrate their heritage.  Dee had many other plans for us but many were quickly replaced by eating, drinking, shopping and laughing until our sides hurt.  We haven't laughed that hard for a  very long time.  We are all reminded of how fortunate we were to grow up in Hutch.

Back row:  Debbie Dennis, Robbie Thompson Hays, Patty Hendrickson

Middle row: Dee Fuller Bisbee, Cilla Barber Crow, Micky Holcomb Robinson, Janeen Bemis Jordan

Front row:  Marsha Bragg Williams, Patty Wiens Blackman, Kim Fowler Carraway, Debi Bieber O'Brien

Having Fun    Comments

While in Hutchinson last week, ran into Bruce and LeAnn Brower on their new Harley trike!  The Brower’s try to ride every Wednesday with a group of motorcyclists that ride out of town for dinner before returning back to Hutch.

I rode with the group a couple of months ago and the Brower’s had a two wheel Harley and now decided to move up to the three-wheeler. They really enjoy the comforts of the new bike.

Bruce retired last year from KSIR and took a job with homeland security at Mid-Continent Airport in Wichita.  Don’t try and carry on something that you are not suppose to, you might see Bruce saying, “I need for you to come with me”!

Way to go Bruce and Le Ann!

I know there are a few others of us that still ride motorcycles and enjoy the wind and bugs in our faces!

Turning 60!    Comments

Eight HHS Class of 68 girlfriends got together to celebrate turning 60 this year and just to get together. The party started on Sept. 30th in the home of Julie Sherrill Drach with supper and birthday cake! Those attending the get-together were Linda Coop Parsons, Mary Hobson, Julie Sherrill Drach, Sharon Showalter McGhee all from Hutchinson, Sue Edwards Elliott (Maize, KS), Janie McNett Steckline (Desoto, KS), Rhonda Rainbolt Beisel (Kansas City, MO) and Rose Ann Kling Rostine (Prescott, AZ). The get-together included shopping trips to Buhler and Wichita and a nice dinner at The Raz, a fairly new restaurant in Hutchinson. Then, four of the group continued the party with a trip to New York City. Those going to New York were Janie, Julie, Mary and Rose Ann. The highlights of the trip were Central Park, the World Trade Center site, the Broadway show -Jersey Boys, a Manhattan island cruise, the Guggenheim Museum, and being on the Today Show.  A wonderful time was had by all and the entire group hopes to plan a trip each year to get together - possibly in Branson next year.
