We are sad to announce the passing of Juliann Jackson, Gilley, Board, who left this world on February 8, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born October 14, 1950, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to her loving parents Jack Jackson Sr and Corine (Nevius) Jackson. Juliann was a dedicated worker at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, where she spent many years of her life before retiring in 2010. She was well-loved by her colleagues and always had a smile on her face. Juliann left a profound impact on all those lucky enough to know her. Her love for her family painted a picture of a woman who treasured the simple pleasures of life and family ties. Left to honor and remember her love are her son, Jack Gilley; daughter-in-law, Dannielle Gilley from Pretty Prairie Kansas; her daughter Deanna Gilley from Hutchinson Kansas; along with her 5 grandchildren, Chasity Gilley, Uriah Gilley, Raidyn Tyler, Rauley Gilley Lopez and Brennan Miles. And her two great grandchildren Teyanah Gilley and Ezra Gilley. As well as her brother Jack Jackson Jr and his wife Elaine Jackson from Hutchinson Kansas. The love and lessons she shared with them will forever be a beacon of guidance and warmth in their lives. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack Jackson Sr and Corine Jackson (Nevius), her sister Margie Jackson and her two sons Richard Gilley (Red) and Dean Gilley (Dino). Cremation has taken place and a Memorial service to honor Juliann's life will be held on Saturday February 22, 2025, 10:00 am at the Saltcity Cowboy Church, 810 North Main St. South Hutchinson Kansas, with Montie McFerrin presiding. It is at this gathering that we shall share memories, shed tears, and celebrate the vibrant life of Juliann, who has left an indelible mark on our hearts. In lieu of flowers, we encourage friends and family to spend quality time with their loved ones, as Juliann would have wanted. Her life may have ended, but her spirit lives on in the smiles and laughter of the family she adored so dearly. Rest in peace, Juliann, and may your laughter echo in the heavens.

Robert Lynn James, 34, died Jan. 25, 1984, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. Born May 29, 1949, at Liberal, he married Christine Allen July 2, 1975 at Wichita. He was owner and operator of James Concrete and Construction, Wichita, and had been a Wichita resident since 1973. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Wichita. He was a Vietnam veteran. Survivors: wife, of the home; sons, Robert Jr., Donnie, both of the home; daughters, Velda James, Los Angeles; Elonia James, Alicia James, Trina James, Veronica James, Valarie James, all of the home: Carrie James, Wichita; parents, Eila and Uvette James, Hutchinson; brothers, Gary, San Diego; Larry, Independence, Mo.; William, Hutchinson; sisters, Doretha Horn, Wichita; Jeanette Saxton, Hutchinson. Funeral held Monday at DeVorss Mortuary Chapel, Wichita. Burial at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita. Memorial fund trust in care of Twin Lakes State Bank, Wichita.

Susan Lynn Augustine, 43, died Feb. 26,1994, at her home of natural causes. She was born April 12, 1950, at Hutchinson, the daughter of F. Roy (died 1982) and Sybil Smith Johnson (died 1988). She was a graduate of Adela Hale Business College, Hutchinson. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she was formerly employed at Johnson Sheet Metal. Survivors include: a daughter, Jenifer Augustine, Hutchinson; two sisters, Judith Dellinger (died 2000), Hutchinson, and Faye Rainwater, (died 2017), Wichita. Burial in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.

Anthony P. Juarez, 63, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013, at his residence following a battle with cancer. Services will be 2 p.m. today at his residence in Sioux City, with Larry Payer officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Winnebago Wake and Burial Program in Winnebago, Neb. Anthony was born on Dec. 28, 1949, in Kinsley, Kan., the son of Francisco and Petro Niala Juarez. He was married to Debra Kay Paul in Kansas. The family lived throughout the Midwest before moving to Sioux City. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Debra; four children, Shawn, Anthony, Misty, and Julio; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two on the way; and his siblings, Michael, Olivia, Angela, Vincent, and Rudy.
