Beth Ellen Hall,59, died on May 27, 2009, at Canton, OH. Unknown cause. Born, Oct 03, 1949, in Parkersburg, WV, she had been a Canton resident for the last several years. She was a 1968 graduate of Hutchinson High School in Hutchinson, KS and was a licensed health care provider in Omaha, NE., and Long Beach, CA. She attended The Church of the Master. Preceded in death by her mother, Lucille M. Hall, who died in 2008 and her father, Dr. Marvin E. Hall of Canton (died March 5, 2020). Survived by two brothers, Timothy S. Hall, Mingus of Massillon and Jay Hall of North Canton. She was a great animal lover and was especially fond of her cat, Lucy. Services held in the Lamiell Funeral Home. Burial in Sunset Hills Burial Park.

Vicki Jo (Harman) Biggs, 63, born June 27, 1950, passed away of natural causes on June 11, 2014 in Los Alamos, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents Everett and May Belle Harman. Vicki was a resident of Los Alamos for 26 years. She was a dedicated special education teacher for 32 years and was a member of the White Rock United Methodist Church, where she played in the English Hand Bell Choir and was a member of the Church quilting group. Vicki was also a member of the Chapter AK, PEO Sisterhood. She enjoyed hiking, boating, and she traveled extensively with her husband of 37 years Thomas Biggs. Vicki is survived by her loving husband Thomas L. Biggs of Los Alamos; sister Pat and Kevin Lorenz of Kansas; Chris Orlando of Kansas, and Alyssa Lorenz of Seattle, Wash.; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Lois Biggs of Missouri. Memorial service in White Rock, N.M. Memorials can be made to American Heart Association, and Arthritis Foundation.

Delores Kay (Harvey) Wilkes, 63, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013. She was born March 14, 1950, in Sterling, Kansas to Donald H. and Eunice M. (Bane) Harvey. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1968. On Aug. 12, 1984, she married Randy D. Wilkes in Hutchinson. She is survived by her sisters Linda Harvey of South Hutchinson, Donna Harvey of Hutchinson and brother Larry Harvey of Stafford; many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Randy Wilkes and her parents. She was a member of the ministry Freedom at Last. She will be missed by all of her friends. Private Family Services. Terri S. (Hawks) Schletzbaum, 60, of Hutchinson, died June 10, 2011 at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson due to a respiratory problem. She was born July 11, 1950 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Eldon M. & Thelma Costello Hawks. She was a school teacher in the Hutchinson Public Schools for many years. She was a Hutchinson High School graduate in 1968, a Hutchinson Community College graduate, and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Home Economics in 1972. She married John F. Schletzbaum on July 21, 1973 in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include 2 sons, Jeff Schletzbaum and wife Christine, Hutchinson, and Ryan Schletzbaum and wife Serena, Kansas City, Kansas; a daughter Amy Krehbiel and husband Dusty, Hutchinson; a brother, Bob Hawks and wife Joy, Nevada, Mo.; 3 sisters, Kim Klein and husband Butch, Tualatin, Oregon, Joy Goble and husband Steve, Olathe, and Debbie Dreiling and husband Pat, Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Judy Stucky, and a brother-in-law Gary Stucky. Mass Of Christian Burial June 15, 2011 at the Church of The Holy Cross. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Speech Therapy Dept. at Promise Regional Medical Center.

Richard Dennis Hedrick, 45, died May 18, 1995, at Davies Medical Center, San Francisco, Calif., after a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 25, 1950, at Corpus Christi, Texas, the son of Richard and Bette Hedrick. He was a 1968 graduate of Hutchinson High School, participating in football and wrestling. He graduated from Hutchinson Community College and Pittsburg State. He later moved to San Francisco, Calif., and was an offensive-line coach for five years at San Francisco State University. He later was a car salesman until retiring in October 1993. Survivors: Richard and Mollie Hedrick, Hutchinson; four brothers, Steve and Tom, Hutchinson, Cliff, Wichita, and Bill, Fairbanks, Alaska; two sisters, Carla Wilbourn, OK Cty, OK, and Mary Douglas, Plano, Tx. Laid to rest at Fairlawn Burial Park Hutchinson.

Timothy R. “ Tim” Hjort, 56, died Dec. 9, 2006, in Wichita. He was born May 5, 1950, in Hutchinson, the son of Roger William and Bonnie Mae Dirks Hjort. In 1968 he graduated from Hutchinson High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Emporia State University and his law degree from the University of Kansas. He was a resident of Wichita, moving from Hutchinson in 1986. He was a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U. S. Navy. Survivors include: a sister, Nancy Mendenhall and her husband, Mike, Derby. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger and mother Bonnie Hjort. Burial in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.

June E. (Housley) Martin, 53, former Central Bank & Trust assistant vice-president, died June 28, 2003 in Hutchinson, Ks from liver cancer. Survivors: daughter, Sarah Martin; stepson, Brian Martin; brother Joe Housley; Her parents Edward and Frances Housley and brother Jeff passed after June passed away. Burial in Memorial Park, Hutchinson.

Cynthia Jo Howard-Canada passed from this life on July 28, 2020, at the age of 70 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cindy was born on July 18, 1950, in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was the daughter of Frank Richard and Mary Louise (Yates) Howard. Cindy grew up and attended school in Hutchinson graduating with the Class of 1968. Following high school Cindy furthered her education at Hutchinson Junior College. Cindy later attended Bethel College where she obtained her bachelor’s degree while residing in Newton, Kansas. Following the completion of her bachelor’s degree Cindy moved to Oklahoma. Cindy worked as a probation officer for many years and was one of the first female officers in Oklahoma. She received a Hall of Fame award for OU. In 2015 she was named the Rural Social Worker of the Year of the University of Oklahoma recognizing her as "a social work professional utilizing a generalist practice model in a rural area of Oklahoma. This professional social worker is identified by the community as a resource in more than one area of expertise." She hated the publicity of it all, but as her family we are so proud to know there is a plaque on the wall in Norman celebrating her awesomeness! In the early 1980’s, Cindy moved to Sapulpa and began working for Creek County DHS. On July 15, 1987, Cindy was united in marriage to Alfred Canada. After several years working for DHS she returned to college once again obtaining her master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1997. Cindy retired in 2015, however she still loved helping other and always wanted the best of the children in the system. So, Cindy never fully retired she only slowed down. Survivors include her husband Al Canada of the home; children Sara and Cayce Mautino, Mike and Stephanie Canada-Phillips, Shelly and Reggie Jordan, Stacy and Dan Reeder, Sister Randy Wood of Hutchinson, Kansas, and many grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. Cindy was preceded in death by her father Frank Howard and mother Mary Howard. Being outdoors working in her flower garden was her passion. Yearly road trips during spring break was also something that was very special to Cindy. Visiting with her family and traveling to warm climates were some of her favorite things to do. Teresa Mae Nachtigal, 73, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS. Teresa was born July 4, 1950, in Beatrice, NE, the daughter of Clarence and Viola (Haecker) Huls. On July 31, 1970, she married George Nachtigal at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, KS. They were married for 39 years before he passed away in 2009. Teresa graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1968. She loved to play Texas Hold’em, playing bingo for many years at Friendly Bingo in Hutchinson and watching the Kansas City Chiefs. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Clarence; and her husband, George. Survivors include her mother, Viola; three sons, Chad (Debbi) Nachtigal, Jason (Leta) Nachtigal, and Jamie (Misty) Nachtigal; one sister, Marsha (Max Carter) Cline; eight grandchildren, Tarryn (Rita) Riney, Josh Nachtigal, Dalton Hall, Logan (Shelbi) Hall, Reece Marshall, Malayna Nachtigal, Briton Nachtigal and Syrena Nachtigal; seven great grandchildren, Peyton Nachtigal, Xyla Nachtigal, Remington Riney, Oliver Fenwick, Ayven Hall, Vivi Riney and Henry Hall; and her beloved dog, Ginger. Per Teresa’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April, 6, 2024 at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd, Hutchinson, KS. Michael Lee Hurlbutt, 39, died Oct. 9, 1989. He was born Dec. 1, 1949 in Enid, Oklahoma, son of Lee Eldo and Marilyn Joan N (Rathburn) Hurlbutt, and brother of Todd Hurlbutt. Moved from Hutchinson to Coffeyville, KS in 1970 and then to New York and went by M. Mackenzie Lee. Father died April 2, 2018 in Coffeyville, KS; Mother died March 17, 1998 in Coffeyville, KS; brother Todd Alan Hurlbutt died July 29, 2006 in Coffeyville, KS; his brother Mark survives.
