We are sad to announce the passing of Juliann Jackson, Gilley, Board, who left this world on February 8, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born October 14, 1950, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to her loving parents Jack Jackson Sr and Corine (Nevius) Jackson. Juliann was a dedicated worker at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, where she spent many years of her life before retiring in 2010. She was well-loved by her colleagues and always had a smile on her face. Juliann left a profound impact on all those lucky enough to know her. Her love for her family painted a picture of a woman who treasured the simple pleasures of life and family ties. Left to honor and remember her love are her son, Jack Gilley; daughter-in-law, Dannielle Gilley from Pretty Prairie Kansas; her daughter Deanna Gilley from Hutchinson Kansas; along with her 5 grandchildren, Chasity Gilley, Uriah Gilley, Raidyn Tyler, Rauley Gilley Lopez and Brennan Miles. And her two great grandchildren Teyanah Gilley and Ezra Gilley. As well as her brother Jack Jackson Jr and his wife Elaine Jackson from Hutchinson Kansas. The love and lessons she shared with them will forever be a beacon of guidance and warmth in their lives. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack Jackson Sr and Corine Jackson (Nevius), her sister Margie Jackson and her two sons Richard Gilley (Red) and Dean Gilley (Dino). Cremation has taken place and a Memorial service to honor Juliann's life will be held on Saturday February 22, 2025, 10:00 am at the Saltcity Cowboy Church, 810 North Main St. South Hutchinson Kansas, with Montie McFerrin presiding. It is at this gathering that we shall share memories, shed tears, and celebrate the vibrant life of Juliann, who has left an indelible mark on our hearts. In lieu of flowers, we encourage friends and family to spend quality time with their loved ones, as Juliann would have wanted. Her life may have ended, but her spirit lives on in the smiles and laughter of the family she adored so dearly. Rest in peace, Juliann, and may your laughter echo in the heavens.

Mary A. Dove, 74, died July 12, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society - Hutchinson Village. She was born on September 5, 1950, in Rock Rapids, IA, to Palmer and Eula A. (Shropshire) Jerde. Mary graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1968. She worked as a florist for over 40 years and enjoyed making beautiful arrangements for the community. Mary taught Vacation Bible School for many years at First Christian Church, Burrton, and taught classes at craft camp in Salina. Her family was always excited to learn new crafts with her. Some of her other talents included cooking and baking with a few favorites being her peanut butter cake, fudge, potato salad, “mouse” burgers and her grandma’s sugar cookies. Mary loved going to flea markets, garage sales, the Kansas State Fair, pumpkin patches, and traveling. A couple of her favorite trips were to Minnesota, Maine, and to visit Graceland in Tennessee. A huge Elvis fan, she collected records, glassware, clothing and anything Elvis! She also cherished time spent with family and the skating rink, water parks, area lakes and watching movies. Mary was sweet and well loved by everyone who met her. Many family members knew they were her “favorite”! An avid pet lover, she rescued many pets, including her last two, Buddy and Wynston. Mary is survived by: her son, Darrell “D.D.” Dove of Dodge City; companion, Glen Meyer of Hutchinson; sister, Tammie (Johnnie) Hazell of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Ryder, Micah, Mistyck and Lakyn Dove, Harley Delgado, and Hailey Compton; great-grandchildren, Layton and Maya; nephew, Rick Jerde; niece, Courtnie (Chris) Hazell-Warkentin; great-niece, Journie Warkentin; great-nephews, Tripp Warkentin and Devan; Mary was blessed to have a dear friend, Janice Courson. She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, John Jerde and Richard “Dick” Jerde; sister, Carla Leach; and nephew, Christopher Ephraums. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at Elliot Mortuary. Friends may sign the book Wednesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the family present Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to Redemption Animal Rescue or American Diabetes Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
